Enterprise and Data Modelling (Metadata Management)
- Metadata is data that defines and describes the characteristics of other data. (DAMA)
- The Meta Data Management Service will focus on core administrative data and integrations managed by IT Services. It is a partial replacement for Casewise-Evolve.
- The Service uses SharePoint for data, Visio for diagrams and will use Microsoft Purview to scan our on-Prem and Cloud solutions for data, data lineages, classifications and categorizations, as well as reporting what data already exists for reporting in our data warehouses.
- It will work with Data Governance to link business definitions to application fields.
